The Audio Visual Break-Fix Technician will report to the Service Operations Manager. AV Technicians are responsible for providing onsite service support to TRITECH customers. Candidates must have experience troubleshooting and servicing commercially integrated professional audio visual systems (control processors, digital signal processers, audio/video tele-conferencing systems, video displays, video walls, professional projectors, roll down screens, wired/wireless microphones, network switches and extender/receiver pairs).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations to troubleshoot issues, repair equipment, and provide next step resolutions for all audio-visual equipment.
  • Coordinate scheduling with Service Coordination team based out of New York HQ.
  • Enter job time entries, job and resolution notes, closeout information, and in-depth reports to manufacturers, service administrators, and customers.
  • Contact and maintain relationships with manufacturers, programmers and project managers for RMAs, program changes and project information.
  • Serve as escalation point for previously diagnosed but unresolved issues.
  • Transport and deliver audiovisual equipment and packages from TRITECH warehouse to various job sites and vice versa


Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • AV Networking - Experience with configuring audio visual network switches such as Netgear, Cisco & Luxul.
  • Control Systems - Experience with debugging audio visual control systems such as Crestron, AMX & Extron.
  • D.S.P. - Experience with making changes to audio files on Digital Signal Processors such as Biamp, QSC & Symetrix.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and strong communication skills
  • AVIXA CTS certification and Crestron DMCE certification is a plus
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and/or valid state identification
  • Knowledge using a service ticketing system such as ConnectWise, ZenDesk, ServiceNow, Salesforce.


Qualified candidates should be able to walk about a service site freely. They may need to climb ladders/step ladders from time to time and lift equipment up to 50lbs.
