Job description

Job Title: AV Technician

Location: St. Louis, MO

Contract duration: 5-month contract, could be extended or converted to FTE


Responsibilities:

  • Direct A/V support for classrooms, academic spaces, and events
  • Troubleshooting moderately complex A/V and classroom technology issues
  • Supporting installations, setups, system status, and downtime procedures
  • Training, scheduling, and managing staff and/or student employees
  • Must have strong customer service skills, and should not be higher-level engineer types.

Key skills:

  • Streaming and web-conferencing knowledge
  • Camera operation
  • Understanding of room A/V equipment
  • Portable sound reinforcement and video projection
  • Strong customer service
  • Adaptability, organization, communication, and flexibility
  • Willingness to work extended hours when needed


Education:

  • Associate’s degree plus 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination


Required:

  • Experience with A/V and classroom controller hardware/software

  • Experience with both Windows and Apple systems


Preferred qualifications

  • InfoComm CTS certification
