RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an L2 AV Engineer in Detroit, MI.
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AV Engineer responsible for the installation, configuration, integration, testing, and support of audiovisual systems across a variety of environments. This role requires strong technical expertise in AV technologies, networking, system commissioning, troubleshooting, and client support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and commission audio-visual systems, including projectors, displays, sound systems, conferencing platforms, and control systems
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and integration issues affecting AV performance
* Configure and calibrate DSPs, microphones, speaker systems, lighting controls, and conferencing equipment
* Review architectural, MEP, AV, and construction drawings to identify design conflicts and integration requirements
* Collaborate with network and IT teams to integrate AV systems with enterprise infrastructure
* Support AV-over-IP deployments, including video, audio, and control signal distribution
* Manage structured cabling installations for audio, video, network, fiber, and low-voltage systems
* Perform system testing, diagnostics, quality assurance, and performance verification
* Maintain detailed documentation including system layouts, drawings, inventory records, and commissioning reports
* Provide end-user training and technical support to ensure successful system adoption
* Interface with building management systems, automation platforms, and network monitoring tools
* Support project delivery activities including installation, commissioning, handover, and post-deployment support
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and installation best practices
REQUIREMENTS:

* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
