21GRAMS, Real Chemistry's advertising agency, has done a lot in its first 5+ years. Known for our creativity, we've just been ranked as the #2 creative health agency in the world by Cannes Lions. It takes a team to do ambitious things, and our ambition is to help people connect with healthcare - by making advertising less of an interruption and more worth people's time because it actually gets them. As an agency with the full capabilities of Real Chemistry at our fingertips, we've got endless potential.
ROOM42, Real Chemistry's in-house production company, is hiring an experienced Audio Production Lead to join our in-house production team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in sound editing and mixing. Should be familiar with audio post-production workflows - sound design and mixing for film and video, as well as podcast production. Also be comfortable leading remote recording sessions, directing talent and managing communication between team members. A requirement of this role is to have a strong interest and expertise in generative AI software and workflows related to the audio production industry.
This is a hybrid role, based in any of our US offices-including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, Lambertville, or San Francisco-or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs. This role will work according to the Eastern Time zone.
What you'll do:
โ€ข Collaborate with team members on creative and efficient ways to incorporate AI into audio production and post-production workflows.
โ€ข Sound design, editing, and mixing for all sorts of projects, ranging from documentary-style films to scripted advertisements, talking heads, animated instructional videos, radio spots, podcasts, sonic branding, and anything else our Creatives can come up with.
โ€ข Manage the casting, directing, recording, and editing of voiceover talent, both AI and real people.
โ€ข Podcast Production: collaborate with team members to develop structure, format, and workflow (incorporating AI) for different podcast series. Manage all recording, editing, and mixing.
โ€ข Contribute and collaborate in a high-volume, fast-paced team environment, maintaining high standards of audio quality.
โ€ข Maintain freshness, creative excellence, and innovation to uphold and enhance the brand.
โ€ข Stay updated on trends and advancements in audio production, post-production, and sound design (especially utilizing generative AI), using this knowledge to inform work and push creative boundaries.
โ€ข Direct and manage the work of outside contractors and freelancers as needed.
This position is a perfect fit for you if:
โ€ข Our Company values - Best Together, Impact-Obsessed, Excellence Expected, Evolve Always and Accountability with an "I" - really speak to you.
โ€ข You are adaptable, resilient, and OK with adjusting your scope, responsibilities, and focus as we grow. When things change, so do we. We're always evolving.
โ€ข You are proactive, driven, and resourceful with strong prioritization skills and a desire to dive into the data.
โ€ข You are highly organized self-starter, able to work independently and under tight deadlines.
What you should have:
โ€ข 4+ years of professional experience in audio post-production (experience in a corporate environment, agency - specifically healthcare agency is a plus but not required).
โ€ข Background in music production - a plus but not required.
โ€ข Proficiency in Pro Tools required, familiarity with Adobe Suite is an advantage.
โ€ข Comprehensive knowledge of the latest audio production tools, both traditional and those utilizing AI.
โ€ข Expertise in voiceover recording, directing, and editing.
โ€ข Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Box, and Frame.io in a corporate environment and the ability to quickly learn and incorporate new software and systems.
โ€ข Strong understanding of broadcast, digital, social, and standard delivery specifications.
โ€ข Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate creative concepts and rationale for clients and the team.
โ€ข Exceptionally high creative standards, balanced with an understanding of timeline and budget constraints.
