Job description

The Video Production Coordinator creates vertical and horizontal videos for Zeta Tau Alpha. This position reports to the Senior Director of Digital Strategy and coordinates all facets of the video production process, including pre- and post-production logistics.
Key Skills and Attributes
  • Experience producing video content for social media, websites, and streaming
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Able to think creatively and contribute ideas during department brainstorms
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate proactively and purposefully with all stakeholders including staff, collegians, alumnae, and third-party vendors
  • Strong interpersonal skills as it relates to conducting interviews and working with collegians and alumnae
  • Experience creating motion graphics a plus
  • Other related skills or interests (e.g., experience with social media)

Responsibilities
  • Create final products for social media, on-site events, and online training courses using live-action footage, motion graphics, and still images
  • Collaborate with Digital Media Coordinator to create engaging vertical social media content
  • Coordinate pre-production, including travel plans, schedules, shot lists, scripts, and storyboards
  • Travel to chapters across the country to acquire footage for specific projects as well as for a general video clip bank; collaborate with collegiate and alumnae chapter members
  • Transport, set up, and operate production equipment, including audio and lighting equipment, for field and studio productions
  • Maintain equipment inventory and field and studio production schedules
  • Manage video livestream during events such as Convention and during social media campaigns

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a video- or communication-related field, or at least one year of professional experience required
  • Creative, flexible, and collaborative in a volunteer and team environment
  • Able to operate autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Able to both provide and accept direction, supervision, and guidance when appropriate
  • Available to travel up to 30 percent of the year
  • Able to lift at least 30 pounds as it relates to transporting video equipment
  • ZTA membership preferred
