Description

The GA position will be focused in providing audio assistance for the B.S. Music Production degree. Music Production covers a very wide range of areas from Live Audio, Studio Recording, Audio Post Production, Worship Arts, Commercial Music Performance and a semester at the CMC (Contemporary Music Center in Brentwood, TN) in the area of Music Business.

Music Production oversees many aspects of events across campus from multiple performance spaces, covering all campus led worship services (live audio and projection), five recording studios, a music production lab and touring systems. We also cover all live streaming events using Blackmagic Design gear in our Video Editing Suite.

This position is to focus in the areas of audio that are connected to these areas. Looking for a candidate that would have ability in each of the areas, but can focus in either live audio or studio recording. The intent is that this position will assist in the following areas:

Live Video/Streaming

Requirements

Preferred degree/experience in an Audio Degree, Music Production degree or high levelย 

of experience in a related field.

-Proficient in Pro Tools. Familiar with Logic Pro and Ableton

-Worked in a recording studio situation previously

-Worked in live audio settings as and FOH (Front of House) mixer for concerts, Worshipย 

Services

-Familiar with Yamaha mixers (QL5), Allen&Heath (SQ series and Avantis) and

Behringer X32

-Familiar with Dante.

-Understand signal flow and small to mid size audio systems

-Familiar with lighting operation/design. Using Vista or equivalent

-Familiar with Blackmagic Design hardware and procedures for live streaming.

-Experience with Novastar and video wall and ProPresenter.

Must be good at problem solving. Must be able to take initiative to complete tasks independently.ย 

This person will work with a team and be very well supported. For all areas to be successful, the individual areas need to be well supported, we are a fully connected group and fully support each other.

Position details:

-$10,000 per year stipend

-Ability to earn a Masters degree (within 2 years) tuition free.

-20 hours per week of assisting.
