We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Associate Systems Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for the design, deployment, and management of enterprise Windows environments, with a strong emphasis on endpoint management, imaging, and systems automation.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Active Directory, and Group Policy, along with hands-on experience in Windows imaging, application packaging, and hardware lifecycle management.
This role is being offered as a HYBRID only position, working some days in our Headquarters in Freeport, ME and some days from home.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain Windows enterprise infrastructure across physical and virtual environments
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Windows OS deployment (OSD) solutions and imaging processes
  • Manage and administer Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) for:
    • Software deployment
    • Patch management
    • Endpoint configuration
    • Task sequences and OSD
  • Familiarity with application package creation using the PSAppDeploy Toolkit and other packaging tools
  • Administer and support Active Directory, including:
    • User and computer lifecycle management
    • Organizational Unit (OU) design
    • Delegation models
  • Design and implement Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security baselines and configurations
  • Manage and maintain device drivers, BIOS/firmware updates, and hardware models across the environment
  • Troubleshoot complex endpoint and infrastructure issues related to imaging, deployment, and authentication
  • Collaborate with security and operations teams to ensure compliance with organizational standards
  • Document processes, configurations, and deployment procedures

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Engineering / End User Compute or a similar role
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM)
    • Windows 10/11 imaging and deployment (OSD)
    • Active Directory and Group Policy administration
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • PSAppDeploy Toolkit for application packaging
    • Driver and BIOS/firmware lifecycle management
  • Solid PowerShell scripting skills for automation and administration
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale endpoint environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Azure / Azure Virtual Desktop / Intune (co-management)
  • Familiarity with Windows Autopilot and modern device management
  • Knowledge of security baselines and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware/Broadcom, Hyper-V)

L.L.Bean uses a market-based compensation approach. The anticipated starting base pay for this position is $80,800.00-$101,000.00. Individual compensation may vary based on factors such as a candidate's experience, qualifications, education, geographic location, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
