Job description

The Audio Visual Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the installation and maintenance of audiovisual, surveillance and networking systems across residential and commercial new construction and retrofit projects. Working independently within a medium-sized team of people, this role requires frequent travel and focuses on providing expert technical support, troubleshooting, and customer assistance to ensure smooth operation and setup of AV equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up audiovisual equipment including TVs, home theaters, sound systems, surveillance systems and networking infrastructure
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electronics, AV systems and networks
  • Perform pre-construction cabling and low voltage wiring rough-in
  • Install media and home theater systems
  • Deliver products to job sites and assist with installations
  • Offer technology help and customer service to clients
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and effective project completion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in audio visual technology
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with audio equipment setup and video conferencing systems
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and signal flow management
