Relevant du Directeur du Centre de Finition des Appareils (CFA), le technicien en conception a la responsabilite de concevoir les dessins de particularisation (customizing) des appareils selon les besoins definis par le client et les criteres de certification.  Les principaux secteurs de responsabilites comprennent notamment l'eclairage, les systemes audio et d'affichage des passagers, les systemes de communication et l'integration des systemes d'alimentation electrique et d'autres systemes electroniques.

Sommaire des responsabilites

         Gerer les projets de conception de produits des clients, de la conception initiale jusqu'a la production du produit fini.

         Concevoir des solutions pour implementer les particularisations choisies par le client, tout en respectant les echeanciers.

         Determiner les donnees a obtenir selon les exigences relatives a la conception.

         Evaluer les exigences relatives a la conception des projets.

         Integrer les solutions au niveau electrique et/ou structure.

         Concevoir les produits en utilisant les logiciels Enovia, Catia V6 et/ou Capital Harness System (CHS).

         Modifier des conceptions existantes, au besoin.

         Participer au processus d'installation du produit avec les employes charges de la fabrication.

         Discussion continues avec les ingenieurs et les intervenants impliques dans le processus d'approbation des dessins.

         Realiser les taches et les projets speciaux qui ont ete attribues par le chef de conception et/ou le Gestionnaire de Projet.

         Participation au developpement et a l'amelioration des outils et des processus d'ingenierie pour appuyer des initiatives de reduction des couts et de temps de cycle de la particularisation des appareils.

Exigences du poste / Qualifications

         Diplome collegial en conception aerospatiale ou en conception electrique.

         Une experience d'au moins 5 ans en conception de produit dans le secteur du genie aerospatial, ou l'equivalent sera preferee.

         Un candidat polyvalent avec une experience et des connaissances en structure, cablage et installation de systemes electriques sera preferee.

         La connaissance et la maitrise de Catia V5/V6 sont indispensables.

         Connaissances fonctionnelles en francais

         Connaissances fonctionnelles en anglais, ce poste necessite des communications en anglais avec les equipes de Bell hors Quebec et/ou ses fournisseurs, partenaires et clients hors Quebec

Toute autre combinaison de scolarite et d'experience jugee equivalente pourra etre consideree.

Directly reporting to the Manager of the Centre de Finition (CFA), The design technician is responsible to design the customization drawings for the helicopter with respect to customer needs and certification requirements. Primary areas of responsibility of Design Technician include lighting, passenger audio / visual systems, communication systems, electrical power and other electronic systems integration.

The CFA is an exciting and stimulating environment with lots of challenges and opportunities where you will have the chance to evolve and grow as individuals within a high performance team.

Summary of job description

         Manage customer product design projects from initial concept through production of finished product.

         Design solutions to implement the client's customizing choices while meeting the deadlines.

         Integrate the solutions from an electrical and/or airframe aspect.

         Evaluate the design requirements for the projects.

         Determine what data is required for design requirements.

         Design products using Catia V6 and/or Capital Harness System (CHS) software.

         Modify existing designs as needed.

         Assist manufacturing personnel with the installation process.

         Continuous discussions with all stakeholders involved in the design approval.

         Complete special projects and tasks as assigned by the Design Group Lead and/or Project Lead.

         Support the development and improvement of engineering tools and process to support cost saving initiatives and lifecycle of customized helicopters.

Minimum required qualifications

         College degree in aerospace design or electrical design

         At least five (5) years of experience in product design in the aerospace engineering sector, or the equivalent will be preferred.

         A versatile candidate with experience and knowledge in structure, wiring and installation of electrical systems will be preferred.

         Knowledge of Catia V5/V6 is essential.

         Functional knowledge in French is required.

         Functional knowledge in English is required for this position, as it involves communication in English with Bell teams outside of Quebec and/or its suppliers, partners, and clients outside of Quebec.

Any other combination of schooling and experience deemed equivalent may be considered.
