Job description

At Audible, we believe stories have the power to transform lives. It's why we work with some of the world's leading creators to produce and share audio storytelling with our millions of global listeners. We are dreamers and inventors who come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to empower and inspire each other. Imagine your future with us. ABOUT THIS ROLE Want to protect creators, customers, and the integrity of the world's leading audio storytelling platform? Come join the Audible Fraud Defense team as a Senior Product Manager - Technical, where you will own the product strategy and roadmap for Audible's fraud defense and anti-piracy capabilities across all global marketplaces. Audible is the leading producer and provider of audio storytelling, with over 1MM titles, 141K+ creators, and listeners in 180+ countries. As we scale our content catalog and creator ecosystem, the sophistication of fraud and piracy threats grows with it - from creator royalty harvesting and payment fraud to large-scale content piracy on platforms like YouTube. We need a product leader who can define and drive the technical product strategy that stays ahead of these evolving threats. ABOUT YOU In this role, you will own the end-to-end product vision for Audible's Fraud Defense program - spanning creator fraud, customer fraud, and content piracy. You will define what to build, why it matters, and how to measure success. You will work closely with engineering, data science, legal, content, and security teams to translate complex fraud signals into durable product mechanisms that protect our ecosystem at scale. The ideal candidate brings deep experience building trust & safety or fraud prevention products, strong technical judgment for evaluating detection and enforcement architectures, and a track record of driving product strategy in ambiguous, high-stakes domains. As a Senior Technical Product Manager for the Audible Fraud Defense team, you will... - Own the product roadmap for Audible's fraud defense program across three risk domains: creator fraud (royalty harvesting, copyright infringement, listening manipulation), customer fraud (payment fraud, account abuse, policy exploitation), and content piracy (DRM circumvention, unauthorized distribution, platform scraping). Define how fraud risk is modeled, detected, and acted upon across Audible's global marketplaces - Drive the product strategy for Audible's anti-piracy capabilities, including application attestation to detect inauthentic app access, YouTube Content ID integration for automated takedown, audio watermarking for forensic source tracing, and anti-scraping detection systems. Define graduated enforcement frameworks that balance customer experience with content protection - Own the product vision for Audible's fraud detection and enforcement platform - defining how signals from consumption patterns, payment behavior, account activity, and content distribution are evaluated to identify and contain fraud. Partner with data science and engineering to improve detection precision, reduce false positives, and scale automated enforcement across all marketplaces - Build product mechanisms that protect creator royalties from exploitation while ensuring legitimate creators and customers are not negatively impacted. Define how trust scoring, abuse thresholds, and appeal processes work across the creator and customer lifecycle - Partner with Content, Legal, Engineering, Security, Customer Service, and external partners (publishers, industry associations, anti-piracy vendors) to align on fraud prevention strategy and drive execution. Represent the fraud defense program in executive reviews (Monthly Fraud Review, OP1/OP2). Influence without authority across organizations with competing priorities - Define and own key fraud metrics - detection rates, false positive rates, financial impact avoided, takedown success rates, and operational efficiency. Use data to inform roadmap priorities, report program impact, and drive risk-based decisions with leadership ABOUT AUDIBLE Audible is the leading producer and provider of audio storytelling. We spark listeners' imaginations, offering immersive, cinematic experiences full of inspiration and insight to enrich our customers daily lives. We are a global company with an entrepreneurial spirit. We are dreamers and inventors who are passionate about the positive impact Audible can make for our customers and our neighbors. This spirit courses throughout Audible, supporting a culture of creativity and inclusion built on our People Principles and our mission to build more equitable communities in the cities we call home.
