Audi Revolut F1 Team is the official factory team of Audi, as the brand enters the FIA Formula 1 World Championship for the first time in 2026.

The team is based in three locations: the power unit is developed by Audi Formula Racing GmbH at the Audi Competence Center Motorsport in Neuburg, Germany; the chassis is engineered and race operations are managed from the state of the art facilities of Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil, Switzerland; and the Audi Motorsport Technology Centre UK in Bicester, United Kingdom, provides a foothold in the heart of Motorsport Valley, with direct access to top F1 talent and key strategic partners.

We are seeking an experienced Senior FEM Structural Analysis Engineer to join our high-performance Structural Design and Analysis department and play a key role in the development of cutting-edge Formula 1 car components.

This position for the Audi Revolut F1 Team can be based at Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil, Switzerland or in Audi Motorsport Technical Centre, Bicester, UK.

Your mission
  • Perform advanced linear and non-linear finite element analyses on composite and metallic components and assemblies.
  • Define and validate structural load cases using first-principles engineering approaches, simulation data, and track feedback.
  • Support the design and optimisation of critical Formula 1 systems, including suspension components, aerodynamic surfaces, chassis structures, gearbox and mechanical assemblies.
  • Deliver structural sign-off documentation ensuring compliance with internal standards, FIA regulations, and project deadlines.
  • Collaborate closely with Design Engineers to achieve lightweight and robust solutions through iterative optimisation.
  • Develop and improve analysis methodologies, automation tools, and best practices to increase department efficiency and technical capability.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior analysts and contribute to the continuous development of the analysis team.
  • Support cross-functional projects involving vehicle dynamics, data analysis, and multidisciplinary optimisation where required.
Your profile
  • Degree (MSc, or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in structural analysis within a high-performance motorsport, automotive, or aerospace environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering FEM sign-off activities for complex composite and metallic structures.
  • Strong understanding of structural mechanics, fatigue, buckling, impact analysis, vibration as well as optimisation techniques (both on composites and metals).
  • Experience working under aggressive development timescales with multiple concurrent projects.
  • Bolted and bonded joint analysis and correlation with physical testing.
  • Strong first-principles engineering mindset with excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory.

  • Abaqus Standard is required.
  • Experience with Abaqus Explicit, Optistruct is advantageous.
Pre-and Post-Processing
  • Experience with the Altair suite (HyperMesh, HyperView, HyperStudy) is required.
  • Experience with Laminate Tools and OptiAssist is advantageous.
CAD Software and Programming
  • Experience with CATIA V5/V6 is advantageous.
  • Experience with Python or MATLAB/Simulink is advantageous.
