Job description

Job Opportunity: Interventional Pain Physician

Our organization is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Interventional Pain Physician to join our team. This role offers the chance to work with a varied patient demographic, primarily addressing musculoskeletal issues, back and neck discomfort, as well as acute and chronic pain management. The position emphasizes medical care for patients experiencing spine and neck-related concerns, with a procedural focus aimed at pain relief.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage medical treatment for patients with spine and neck issues.
  • Engage in a procedural practice that focuses on pain alleviation.
  • Utilize behavioral health, complementary medicine, interventional techniques, and spasticity management in treatment plans.
  • Perform fluoroscopy-guided spinal injections and ultrasound-guided procedures.
  • Treat patients suffering from painful musculoskeletal disorders affecting the spine, peripheral joints, and soft tissues, including conditions such as sprains, strains, disc herniations, and various neuromuscular disorders.
  • Prescribe therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation methods.

Qualifications:
  • MD/DO degree from an accredited medical institution.
  • Completion of fellowship training from an ACGME accredited program.
  • Possession of an active and unrestricted medical license in the State of Maine, or the ability to secure one before starting.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility is required.
  • Active and unrestricted DEA license, or the ability to obtain it prior to employment.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred.
