Job description

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Construction Inspector (UDOT CITP Level II) for our South Jordan, UT office for projects based in Utah.  Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact
  • Read and interpret project plans and specifications
  • Monitor construction for compliance with project documents
  • Measure, calculate, and document quantities of installed materials in accordance with client policies and procedures 
  • Prepare daily work reports; prepare and maintain documentation of contractor work performed, materials testing and traffic control based on construction plans and specifications; using Masterworks, spreadsheets, and other electronic or manual means
  • Inspect road and bridge construction (based on UDOT Standards)
  • Experience with UDOT documentation 
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and a minimum of 5 years of construction experience
  • UDOT Masterworks Trained
  • UDOT CTP Level II
  • ACI Level I or Level II Concrete Certification
  • Experience on UDOT projects
  • Valid Utah driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bituminous Paving Experience
  • Concrete Paving Experience
  • Direct experience working for UDOT or another firm with UDOT exposure
  • ATTSA Traffic Control Certification, Sampling Reduction & Density (SRDTT), Moisture/Density Gauge Certification, ACI or CTT Concrete Certification or the ability to become certificated within 2 months of hire
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
