Job description

The AT&T Foundry is a team of computer scientists, network engineers, and related fields who are building the next generation of communication networks. To do this, we work on a variety of projects involving cutting edge techniques from AI, network science, and many related fields. Our projects involve approaches such as (but not limited to): reinforcement learning, machine learning, decision theory, and natural language processing.

We are looking for people with experience applying cutting edge research in AI and ML to solve problems. You will work on a small team, interacting with business units across AT&T.

Responsibilities:
¥ Stay up to date on advancements in the field including the latest techniques and results from academia and industry, and effectively disseminate these learnings to other team members.
¥ Engage with teams across AT&T technology and operations organizations to understand their current challenges and incubate and develop new project opportunities.
¥ Work within Foundry team to develop new solutions.
¥ Develop and maintain production quality software.
¥ Developing and implement computational statistics and machine learning algorithms for analyzing system performance and optimization.
¥ Communicating project results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
¥ Lead Foundry projects that implement innovative technical solutions to problems of compelling business value.

Minimum qualifications:
¥ BA / BS in computer science or related technical field.
¥ A strong background in probability and statistics
¥ Software development experience using one or more of Python, C/C++

Preferred qualifications:
¥ MS or PhD specializing in computer science, physics, or related technical field.
¥ Strong background in ML or AI
