Job description

Power Supply & Audio Amplifier Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with expertise in power electronics and audio amplifier design to support the development of high-performance electronic products. This role combines hands-on hardware design, testing, and troubleshooting with cross-functional collaboration throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies, including both linear and switching architectures.
  • Design, analyze, and optimize audio amplifier circuits, including Class A, AB, and D topologies.
  • Perform schematic capture, circuit simulation, component selection, and PCB layout review.
  • Evaluate and improve system performance related to efficiency, thermal management, EMI/EMC, reliability, and audio quality.
  • Build, test, and validate prototypes using standard laboratory equipment and established test procedures.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams to support product development, production readiness, and ongoing product improvements.
  • Assist with regulatory compliance efforts, including UL, CE, FCC, and related standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in power electronics, audio amplifier design, or analog circuit development.
  • Strong understanding of analog circuit design, analysis, and hardware debugging.
  • Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and circuit simulation tools (Altium preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, audio analyzers, and other electronic test equipment.
Preferred Experience
  • Class D amplifier and switch-mode power supply (SMPS) design.
  • EMI/EMC mitigation and compliance testing.
  • Audio performance optimization, including THD+N, SNR, frequency response, and system stability.
  • Embedded systems, DSP concepts, and hardware/firmware integration.
  • IEC/UL 62368-1 or similar safety standards.
  • Designing products for rugged environments and supporting products through manufacturing and production release.
