Job description

As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn’t changed — we’re here to stop breaches, and we’ve redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced AI-native platform. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day and this traffic is growing daily. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We're proud to work for a mission-driven company leveraging AI to transform the way we work. CrowdStrikers drive their careers through flexibility and autonomy while also being expected to contribute to a culture of responsible AI adoption, experimentation, and innovation. We use an AI-first mindset as a force multiplier to proactively and continuously accelerate execution, build expertise, uncover insights, and solve complex problems. We’re always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Atlassian Cloud Architect to lead CrowdStrike's future in Atlassian Cloud. This role is critical in maintaining and securing our primary work management platform used by 12,000+ employees globally. As the Atlassian Cloud Architect, you will work in a team of experienced Atlassian professionals and be responsible for platform architecture, performance and cost optimization, and integration with our identity and security frameworks. The ideal candidate will combine deep Atlassian expertise with strong security knowledge and excellent platform engineering abilities. The Atlassian Cloud Architect drives the design, governance, and scaling of CrowdStrike's Atlassian SaaS ecosystem (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management). This role bridges technical delivery with business objectives, managing end-to-end migrations, platform standardization, workflow automation, and marketplace app governance.

What You'll Do:
  • Platform Architecture & Governance: Design and maintain the overarching Atlassian Cloud architecture, defining standardized templates, reusable patterns, and user permissions across various business units.
  • Migration & Consolidation: Lead end-to-end migrations (Data Center and Cloud) or other toolchains to Atlassian Cloud. Establish roll-out strategies, data mappings, and post-migration validation.
  • App & Integration Ecosystem: Evaluate, approve, and manage Atlassian Marketplace applications for security, scalability, and operational fit. Integrate Atlassian products with external DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines via REST APIs and webhooks.
  • Workflow Optimization & Automation: Translate business and engineering needs into structured workflows and practical automation rules to reduce manual friction.
  • Traceability & Compliance: Design traceability models linking requirements to delivery, testing, and operational handovers to ensure regulated SDLC practices are maintained.
  • Stakeholder Management & Mentorship: Bridge the gap between non-technical stakeholders and engineering teams. Define review processes and provide technical mentorship.
  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
What You'll Need:
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Atlassian platform engineering, system administration, or solution architecture.
  • Experience with identity integration/platforms (Okta).
  • Cloud Expertise: Deep, practical understanding of Atlassian Cloud capabilities, including Atlassian Guard and Advanced Roadmaps.
  • SDLC Knowledge: Strong grasp of software development life cycle (SDLC) workflows spanning product management, QA, release management, and Agile methodologies.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with REST APIs, JSON, and automation scripting (e.g., Python, Groovy/ScriptRunner).
  • Certifications: Recognized Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) designations (such as ACP-100 for Jira Administrator or ACP-600 for Cloud Organization) are highly valued.
  • Bonus Points: Security certifications Identity platform experience Rovo and Forge development expertise Enterprise architecture background
Benefits of Working at CrowdStrike:
  • Market leader in compensation and equity awards
  • Comprehensive physical and mental wellness programs
  • Competitive vacation and holidays for recharge
  • Paid parental and adoption leaves
  • Professional development opportunities for all employees regardless of level or role
  • Employee Networks, geographic neighborhood groups, and volunteer opportunities to build connections
  • Vibrant office culture with world class amenities
  • Great Place to Work Certified™ across the globe

CrowdStrike was founded in 2011 to fix a fundamental problem: The sophisticated attacks that were forcing the world’s leading businesses into the headlines could not be solved with existing malware-based defenses. Founder George Kurtz realized that a brand new approach was needed — one that combines the most advanced endpoint protection with expert intelligence to pinpoint the adversaries perpetrating the attacks, not just the malware. There’s much more to the story of how Falcon has redefined endpoint protection but there’s only one thing to remember about CrowdStrike: We stop breaches.
