Production Test Technician

Join Atlas Copco Compressors LLC as a Production Test Technician, playing a vital role in assuring the superior quality, reliability, and safety of our compressor systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to spearhead the design and optimization of advanced testing strategies that guarantee product excellence and foster continuous manufacturing improvements.

Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Technician to perform mechanical testing on centrifugal blowers, compressors, and dryers. This role is critical to ensure the performance, safety, and reliability of our rotating equipment. The ideal candidate will have practical experience with laser shaft alignment, vibration analysis, and pressure/temperature measurements.---

Essential Job Functions

Perform precision shaft alignment using laser shaft alignment tools (core responsibility).

Conduct mechanical tests on centrifugal blowers, compressors, and dryers following established procedures.

Record and analyze vibration, pressure, and temperature data during testing.

Set up electrical and mechanical input/output connections, including auxiliary equipment such as soft starters and water-cooling towers.

Generate accurate and detailed test reports using Windows-based software.

Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Communicate test findings, anomalies, and improvement recommendations to the engineering team.

Follow all safety protocols and company procedures during test operations.

Required Qualifications:

Experience in mechanical testing of rotating machinery (e.g., blowers, compressors, dryers).

Proficient in using laser shaft alignment tools.

Ability to measure vibration, pressure, and temperature using appropriate instruments.
