We are seeking a CMT Field Technician to join our Tampa, FL team! Come join us!

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform construction materials testing and inspection, including soils sampling and testing, concrete sampling and testing, masonry sampling and testing, asphalt testing, and reinforcing steel inspection.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members while representing Atlas in a professional manner.
  • Accurately prepare field reports in accordance with Atlas reporting standards and applicable codes.
  • Document testing and inspection activities and maintain detailed project records.
  • Travel throughout the state of Florida to support project needs.
  • Stay out of town as required to complete project assignments and meet client schedules.

You’ll thrive here if you have

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience working in the construction industry.
  • ACI Concrete Sampling Technician I certification preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Nuclear Soil Density Testing preferred, but not required.
  • Additional CTQP certifications in soils, concrete, and asphalt are preferred.

    The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
