Job description

Position Summary

The Insurance Sales Agent/Producer is responsible for generating new business, retaining existing customers, and delivering exceptional customer service. As the primary point of contact for clients, this position identifies customer insurance needs, recommends appropriate coverage, quotes and binds policies, and builds long-term customer relationships. Success in this role requires a motivated sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to meeting production goals while representing the Estrella Insurance brand with professionalism and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quote, sell, and bind auto insurance policies.
  • Meet or exceed individual sales and production goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Conduct thorough customer interviews to identify insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage.
  • Utilize TurboRater to compare carrier rates and provide competitive insurance options.
  • Clearly explain coverages, policy options, premiums, and underwriting requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of carrier underwriting guidelines and product offerings.
  • Create, update, and manage customer and prospect profiles using QQ Catalyst and AgencyZoom.
  • Utilize QQ Catalyst and AgencyZoom for lead management, follow-up, prospecting, and customer retention.
  • Respond to Estrella Portal leads within 5 minutes of notification.
  • Review cancellation and renewal reports daily and proactively contact customers to prevent policy cancellations.
  • Contact renewal customers to retain business through renewals or policy rewrites when appropriate.
  • Accurately process policy changes, endorsements, payments, and customer documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with agency procedures and insurance regulations.
  • Provide outstanding customer service before, during, and after the sale.

Qualifications

Required

  • Valid Florida 4-40 Customer Service Representative (CSR) License.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Previous experience in insurance sales, customer service, or a related sales environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and agency management systems.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire for personal and financial growth.

Preferred

  • Previous experience with TurboRater, QQ Catalyst, AgencyZoom, or similar agency management software.
  • Experience working in an independent insurance agency.
