Job description

Shape the Next Generation of Neurosciences Care

AtlantiCare is advancing a modern, high-impact Neurosciences Service Line designed to improve access, quality, and continuity of neurological care across southern New Jersey. As part of this growth, we are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our physician-led, multidisciplinary neurology team.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a transformative, team-based approach to neurological care—supporting value-based practice while helping build the foundation and care pathways that will define the next generation of neuroscience services.

Position Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider will play a key role in our outpatient neurology practice, supporting comprehensive neurological care within a physician-led, team-based model. This position emphasizes longitudinal management, follow-up care, patient education, and care coordination in support of high-value, patient-centered neurological services.

The APP will function as an integrated member of the Neurosciences Service Line, collaborating with supervising neurologists, primary care providers, and interdisciplinary partners to improve access, continuity, and outcomes for patients with neurological disease.

Be part of an extraordinary moment in healthcare - help shape the future as AtlantiCare partners in the creation of a brand-new, 4-year Temple University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine right here in Atlantic City, alongside the launch of the Stockton-AtlantiCare College of Community Health. As a physician at AtlantiCare, you have the opportunity to train and inspire the next generation of doctors and healthcare professionals, contribute to cutting-edge research, and deliver compassionate care that transforms lives. This is your chance to leave a lasting impact on our community, advance medicine, and help build a legacy of innovation, excellence, and leadership in healthcare.

Core Clinical Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive and focused neurological histories and physical examinations
  • Manage stable and follow-up patients under physician-established care plans

  • Manage medications in collaboration with supervising physicians
  • Provide patient and caregiver education, counseling, and shared decision-making support
  • Coordinate care with primary care, specialty services, therapy providers, and community resources
  • Document and bill for services in accordance with AtlantiCare standards and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in quality improvement, access initiatives, and care pathway development
Clinical Competency Framework

Advanced Practice Providers will participate in a structured onboarding and ongoing competency development framework designed to support safe, effective practice within a physician-led neurology care model. AtlantiCare welcomes both experienced APPs and new graduates who bring a growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and interest in neuroscience, recognizing that neurology is a complex field that requires deliberate development over time.

We are committed to providing mentorship, structured learning, and patience as APPs build clinical confidence and neurological expertise.
