The Athletics Department at Georgia State University is seeking to hire an Athletic Trainer. This position will oversee and assist with sports medicine department operations and lead the daily practice/competition, medical coverage, including any associated travel for Soccer.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
This person will serve as a Licensed Certified Athletic Trainer for Georgia State student-athletes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Responsible for administrative assignments related to department operations.
  • Communicate with staff, coaches, and team physicians.
  • Document injuries/illnesses.
  • Schedule physician appointments.
  • Verify student-athlete insurance coverage.
  • Resolve any transportation issues.
  • May assist with CPR instructions, credentialing, nutrition education coordination, intern recruitment, or intern oversight.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr. Associate AD for Sports Medicine, or designee.

This will be a year-round responsibility, including one of the following: insurance coordinator, mental health coordinator, drug testing coordinator, inventory/ordering for Olympic sports, inventory/ordering for football, emergency preparedness, or medical records/EMR/PPE coordinator.
