Our client in a small Midwestern town just 30 minutes from a metro of $500K is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Sports Medicine physician to join their team. FM or EM with Sports Medicine fellowship. Non-surgical role. The clinic is part of an Independent, not-for-profit, 72-bed short-term acute care hospital, and has a relationship with the local university's athletics teams. The community features a low cost of living, genuine community, and easy access to plenty of outdoor recreation.
Provide comprehensive non-surgical musculoskeletal care for athletes of all ages and competition levels from youth and high school athletes to university competitors and active adults..
Procedural capabilities include: Ultrasound-guided injections, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, Tenex minimally invasive tenotomy,  COOLIEF radiofrequency treatment for pain management and recovery optimization.
The physician works closely day-to-day with advanced practice providers, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and coaches integrated into the athlete's care team..
Sideline coverage at local university's home football games shared with Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon, Review and approval of athletic protocols for univerisity and hospital's internal athletic trainer team,  Weekly clinic on university campus, All additional university athlete care managed within the hospital's Sports Medicine Clinic and Orthopedic and Spine Center.
