RN Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg)

Location: Mequon, WI
Contract Type: Travel
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Pay: $2,124/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description
ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care setting. This role requires strong telemetry skills and the ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythms. Candidates must have recent med/surg experience and be comfortable floating within their skill set, including to nearby affiliated sites if needed. Epic charting experience is required. Strict professional appearance standards apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients
  • Perform telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
  • Administer medications and manage IV therapies
  • Monitor patient status and respond to clinical changes
  • Follow infection prevention and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Float within skill set onsite or to nearby facilities as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR

Qualifications

  • Active RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg experience required
  • Telemetry experience and rhythm interpretation required
  • BLS certification required
  • NIH certification required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Must be willing to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
  • No artificial/acrylic nails; nails must meet length policy
  • Must meet floating requirements within 40 miles
  • Must meet start date requirements
