Our National Security Team supports the intelligence community, providing, operating, and assuring critical voice, video and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations.
AT&T has an opening for a NOC Technical Lead: To support the customer's computer data communications systems, in providing design specifications, testing and inspections for computer networks; plan and implementing upgrades; as well as, analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network monitoring and modeling.
Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.
  • Supervise network support and client server specialists in the planning, coordination, and implementation of network operations, maintenance, repair, or upgrades.
  • Train, staff, and employ a team of network support specialists to provide advanced incident response support to the Network Operation Center (NOC) and Tier 3 network engineers in the resolution of incident tickets.
  • Support operations and maintain activities and administer networks including hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • Develops and implements methodologies for analysis, testing, monitoring, and support of LAN and WAN networks.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of new network technologies into the network to ensure the NOC can provide the client with robust and proactive monitoring of network health.
  • Support the analysis of incident trends, escalation of incidents to problems, and development of solutions to resolve network issues.
  • Perform configuration management functions such as updating topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, inventory.
  • Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience.
  • Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLAN's).
  • Knowledge of Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade and Foundry OS.
  • Familiar (doesn't need to be a SME) with Layer 3 protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE. Familiar with Viso and Service Now.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years, master's and 4 years, bachelor's and 6 years, associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years. Additional required qualifications include: Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
