Registered Nurse, Nursing Home
Registered Nurse or LPN, PRN - 1-2 days per week
  • Pay for this position, starting at $30/hr.
  • This position includes a night shift differential of $3/hr. and weekend differential of $4/hr.

The Nurse is a member of the collaborative team and assists in ensuring the quality care of all residents. The position requires an understanding of a commitment to, the principle and values of the community. This position requires creativity, good time management skills, flexibility and a good knowledge base of residents that may have complex medical needs. The position requires strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to provide health service training to other employees. The Nurse must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and always use critical thinking skills along with good nursing judgment.
Responsibilities:

  • Offer input to care planning process.
  • Complete admission and discharge documentation.
  • Oversee subordinates and ensure tasks are completed.
  • Give report to oncoming staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Look for ways to prevent incidents and improve processes.
  • Monitor and record vitals.
  • Recognize and act on change in residents' condition.
Job Requirements:
  • Current State of Illinois RN/LPN license is required
  • CPR/AED certification is required, or must be willing to obtain upon hire
  • Must be compassionate, caring, and patient with the elderly resident population
  • Must be dependable and responsible
  • Must be willing to work rotating weekends and holidays
