Job description

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a respected long-term care facility located in the Scarborough area, is currently seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join their healthcare team.

You will be hired and onboarded by RhynoCare as an Independent Contractor. We're dedicated to helping our team succeed by offering competitive compensation, flexible work schedules, and continuous support.

Responsibilities

  • To provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RN.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
  • Ensure a timely and accessible admission for the residents including a comprehensive orientation to the home and the services offered within the home
  • Ensure that resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe
  • Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, ensure protocols are followed on all assigned shifts
  • Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs of the residents

Requirements

  • Current and active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work various shift lengths (8 or 12 hours), as required by the facility schedule
  • Willingness and ability to float between units within a healthcare facility based on staffing needs
  • Must be reliable (once availability is given) to be placed at an agreed upon facility/unit
  • Must be in compliance with RhynoCare's shift acceptance and cancellation policy (provided for review upon being hired)
