What you'd do as the Hospice Nurse - RN - 7D on/7D off:

  • This is a full-time role that is 7 days on and 7 days off. This position takes calls from 4:30 P.M until 8:00 A.M. each night as well as taking calls through the weekend. Some scheduled visits may also be assigned.
  • Support patients and families in the time of their greatest need and respond to emergent needs on weekends, evenings and overnight.
  • Assist the caregivers and patients, provide meds available and offer teaching to ensure comfort for pain, breathlessness, dying/transitioning or support at the time of death with compassion, integrity, respect, and dignity in all our interactions.

What it takes to become a Hospice Nurse - RN - 7D on/7D off:

  • RN with a minimum of two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
  • Current, valid CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated patience and a supportive and sensitive approach to providing patient, family, and caregiver support.
  • Willingness and ability to provide care in facility and patient home settings.
