Job Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating outbound shipment activities, such as carrier pick-up, BOL generation, and shipment transactions. They ensure all necessary documents are available for the carrier and maintained for retention purposes. They help track and provide information on shipments to both internal and external parties. The Logistics Coordinator assists with shipping and delivery issues between the carrier and the customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all shipping paperwork is complete - BOL, packing lists, customs documents
  • Work with carriers to ensure trucks are available and meet daily schedules
  • Maintain standard work on shipping processes and rate estimates

Key Competencies and Success Factors:

  • Problem Solving: Uses data analysis and excellent processes to help predict problem areas, identify areas of opportunity, and update standard work
  • Analytical: Superior analytical skills
  • Computer: High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, such as Excel and Outlook
  • Capable of learning and utilizing multiple systems and databases
  • Communication: Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills
