Role Overview
As the AVP, Data & Analytics Product Owner, you are a senior leader within the Data & Analytics organization, accountable for owning and delivering high-impact Insurance data and analytics products that enable business strategy, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. You serve as the primary data product owner for Insurance, partnering closely with business leaders, IT, architecture, and data governance teams to define product vision, translate business needs into actionable requirements, and drive execution of the enterprise data strategy.
In this role, you combine strategic product leadership with strong stakeholder engagement and hands-on delivery oversight, while also carrying people management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic product ownership for Insurance data and analytics, with end-to-end accountability for product vision, roadmap, prioritization, delivery, adoption, and ongoing value realization.
  • Execute the Insurance data strategy in partnership with IT and Enterprise D&A teams, including delivery of global data domains and data products.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Insurance leadership, shaping data-driven decisions and translating business priorities into scalable data and analytics solutions.
  • Influence and align stakeholders across Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Operations, and Distribution, ensuring enterprise and global perspectives are reflected in data initiatives.
  • Act as the primary D&A point of accountability with IT for Insurance data delivery, setting priorities, managing dependencies, and ensuring timely, high-quality execution.
  • Define and approve data requirements, conceptual models, data definitions, and mappings, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with enterprise data standards.
  • Partner with Data Governance, Architecture, and Platform teams to ensure delivered solutions adhere to data quality, lineage, control, and regulatory expectations.
  • Provide oversight of data reliability, performance, and production stability, including escalation and resolution of material data and analytics issues.
  • Assess and manage the impact of upstream and downstream business, technology, and regulatory initiatives on Insurance data products.
  • Lead planning, prioritization, and budget discussions for Insurance data and analytics initiatives, balancing strategic investments with operational needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in data & analytics, data product ownership, business analysis, or technology delivery in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience within the insurance industry, with a solid understanding of insurance products, business operations, and data concepts across functions such as Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Operations.
  • Proven experience owning and delivering data or analytics products, including requirements definition, roadmap ownership, prioritization and execution in partnership with IT.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data platforms, analytics, governance, and regulatory considerations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes without direct authority.
  • Proficient with data analysis and validation tools such as SQL
  • Experience working with enterprise data governance and catalog platforms, such as Collibra, with an understanding of metadata management, data lineage, stewardship, and governance workflows.
  • Experience leading and developing teams.

The base salary range for this position is $201,000 - $225,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
