Job Description:
Who We Are:
The Endoscopy department at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH specializes in providing advanced endoscopic procedures using the latest technology. Patients are able to have testing and treatment options done quickly and conveniently with minimal discomfort. The team consists of skilled physicians, nurses, technicians, and other health care professionals who strive to provide quality patient care while maintaining safety standards. The Endoscopy department at Elliot Hospital is committed to providing excellent care and comfort while ensuring the safety of its patients.
About the Job:
As an endoscopy nurse, you'll be responsible for providing compassionate care to patients during their endoscopic procedures. You will need to assess the patient's needs and provide support before, during, and after the procedure. Additionally, you will be required to maintain a thorough knowledge of all the latest medical procedures and equipment used in endoscopic practices. On a daily basis, you will be helping patients navigate their endoscopy procedure, providing emotional support and assisting with any post-procedure education or care that may be needed.
What You'll Do:
  • Preparing and positioning patients for endoscope procedures.
  • Monitoring patient condition during and after the procedure.
  • Administering medications as needed throughout the procedure.
  • Collaborating with physicians to ensure that all safety protocols are followed.

Who You Are:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience required.
  • Valid New Hampshire RN license or Compact State RN license required at time of hire. If hired with a Compact State RN license, the New Hampshire RN license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required. PALS certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
