The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in Animation with an emphasis in 3D Animation. Duties and Responsibilities: 1

Teach day and evening courses offered in concept art, storyboarding, hand drawn animation, 2D digitalAnimation, and 3D animation, and Motion Graphics; 2. Assignment includes creating a syllabus, teaching the course, evaluating students, and supporting student film submissions to the Chabot College Film & Animation Festival; 3. Participate in supporting students' educational planning and transfer opportunities; 4.

Participate in the development and furthering of departmental and college goals through course development and student engagement. Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree(s) or higher and two years of professional experience, and/or other specifications as noted, or specifically named associate degree(s) and six years of professional experience. Evidence of understanding of and responsiveness to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, racial and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practices within the classroom.

Extensive experience using 2D and 3D Animation software, including but not limited to Photoshop, Blender, and After Effects; 3. Experience with foundational skills including analogue storyboarding and drawing skills.
