FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Type: Hourly / bi-weekly

Pay Range: $22 - $26 Per hour

Summary:

The Assistant Project Manager supports Project Managers and cross-functional teams in the planning, coordination, documentation, and execution of fabrication, staging, rental, and production-related projects. This role helps track project schedules, materials, shop progress, quality control, final assembly, testing, and packaging to ensure assigned work is completed on time and to company quality standards. The Assistant Project Manager is expected to develop a strong understanding of fabrication techniques, staging equipment, project workflows, safety procedures, and hand and power tools. This role may include onsite work with clients, artists, vendors, and crew under the direction of a Project Manager or other authorized lead.

This is a non-exempt hourly position that includes eligibility for PTO, health insurance, and the 401k program after the probationary period.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate within standard operating and safety procedures
  • Assist Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of fabrication, staging, rental, and production-related projects
  • Coordinate with Technical Design, Fabrication, Sales, Rental, Purchasing, and other departments to help complete projects on time and to company quality standards
  • Support the creation of high-quality Versa staging and fabrication equipment that represents the company well in the global staging market
  • Review and reference Technical Design documents, drawings, cut lists, schedules, and project instructions under the direction of the Project Manager
  • Complete all assigned crew training modules and assist with crew coordination as directed
  • Assist in developing, updating, and tracking project scope, objectives, schedules, budgets, and timelines
  • Maintain project documentation, task lists, status updates, meeting notes, change logs, production records, and closeout information
  • Track project progress using appropriate software, tools, and communication channels
  • Coordinate internal resources, vendors, and third parties as assigned to support the successful execution of projects
  • Assist with sourcing job-specific materials and tracking availability, procurement, receiving, and allocation
  • Participate in final assembly, testing, quality control, labeling, and packaging of custom fabrication projects prior to shipping or delivery
  • Identify and communicate project risks, delays, missing information, or material constraints to the Project Manager in a timely manner
  • Support professional relationships with clients, vendors, crew, and internal stakeholders
