ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and maintains a professional image in representing Novomatic Americas Sales in both personal interfaces and those communicated via the phone and/or email.
  • Consistently travels throughout the assigned territory to call on established and prospective customers to: develop relationships, solicit business, and to resolve customer complaints.
  • Compiles and maintains updated account listings/call sheets of all customers through the use of personal contacts, trade journals, business directories, and other available sources of information.
  • Provides to management updated product forecast reports on a regular basis for approval, and identifies major sales opportunities to management in a timely manner.
  • Keeps management abreast of competitive market trends and any issues that are/or may impede business.
  • Represents the company at trade association meetings to promote the product.
  • Maintains a good working knowledge of the product line and its application within the marketplace.
  • Identifies customer requirements via sales contact or through slot floor analysis.
  • Displays and or demonstrates products that may fulfill custom requirements through the use of sample product, marketing materials or the use of trial equipment to emphasize the salable features of the product.
  • Quotes corporate approved prices.
  • Collects credit history information as required, and quotes customers based on company approved credit terms.
  • Prepares sales contracts and sales order entry documentation in a timely and accurate manner for orders obtained.
  • Provides estimated dates of delivery to the customer based on lead times provided by the Sales Order Entry Department.
  • Keeps customer advised of all issues impacting the delivery of his order.
  • Maintains timely and accurate expense account reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; with three or more years related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and sales proposals, and to develop presentation materials.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel/Word/Power Point)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish and meet deadlines
  • Team player with good analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
