Key Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibility is to provide excellent customer service and assist customers with selecting the best products for their needs.
  • Represent the company with customers, industry related associations, federal, state and local government agencies.
  • Works with the Sales Manager to develop sales objectives for the market area and recommends pricing strategies and promotional programs for key customers; introduces new and existing customers to new product lines to promote growth of market share and profitability.
  • Responsible for identifying , working with and tracking projects in the early stage of development through completion.
  • Negotiates pricing with customers while maintaining relationships.
  • Monitors and reports market conditions in the area of responsibility and their possible effects on the company.
  • Frequently communicates with operations, quality control and dispatch personnel regarding customer needs.
  • Effectively manage projects of varying size and complexity, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Works with the credit department to help resolve major problems or credit issues with delinquent accounts.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned by management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a construction field or sales/marketing or related field and/or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of three years ready mix concrete experience desired.
  • Strong and effective communicator, strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communications.
  • Ability to provide direct and actionable feedback.
