Job description

SUMMARY:

Our client is an established and growing law firm seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with a strong background in commercial real estate transactions and/or community association law. The ideal candidate will have experience representing large home builders, developers, community associations, or other sophisticated real estate clients. Strong commercial real estate transactional experience is highly valued, even if the candidate does not have direct community association experience.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

- Handle commercial real estate and community association matters.

- Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents and agreements.

- Represent home builders, developers, associations, and business clients.

- Conduct legal research and provide practical legal advice.

- Communicate directly with clients and attend client meetings.

- Independently manage assigned matters, deadlines, and client relationships.

- Maintain accurate files, billing records, and time entries.

- Participate in special projects and firm initiatives as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- J.D. from an accredited law school.

- Active license and good standing with the Alabama or Florida Bar.

- 3-5+ years of relevant transactional experience.

- Experience in commercial real estate, real estate development, business transactions, and/or community association law.

- Strong preference for experience representing large home builders or developers.

- Excellent legal research, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters independently.

- Professional judgment, work ethic, and commitment to client service.
