Job description

This position supports two programs with mission applications focused on software modernization, containerization, hardening, and deployment to security-compliant cloud infrastructure. Based out of Pittsburgh, PA, this position is part of a multi-disciplinary, collaborative team of software, IT, and security engineers at Neya Systems, a subsidiary of ARA, delivering the next generation of cloud- and web-enabled modeling and simulation software.
As a valued team contributor, your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines, working with developers to containerize both new and existing code, deploying to on-premises and cloud-based Kubernetes clusters, managing releases of mission applications into customer environments, and implementing Terraform to deploy secure, compliant cloud infrastructure. This is a hybrid position with an expectation of 3 days per week onsite in Pittsburgh, PA.
Due to the nature of the work and interactions with the intelligence community and DoD programs, you must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Secret-level security clearance or higher.
DevSecOps Engineer Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science with 8-10 years of related experience,
OR
Master's degree with 6-8 years of related experience.
DevSecOps Cloud Engineer Required Technology & Skills:
• 4+ years of experience with Terraform IaC for cloud providers (AWS preferred)
• 4+ years of experience with Kubernetes and containers
• 4+ years of experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab, GitHub, Atlassian, or similar)
• 2+ years of experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Python, Java, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, Golang, or similar)
• Experience with security patching and remediation
• Strong teamwork orientation and excellent written/oral communication skills
Required Certifications:
• CompTIA Security+ (or DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 equivalent)
• AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, Developer, SysOps, or DevOps) preferred
• Kubernetes Certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS) preferred
• Linux OS Certification (RHCSA/RHCE or similar) preferred
