Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, JOB DUTIES and COMPETENCIES:
  • Install and maintain computer/network hardware and peripheral components.
  • Install and troubleshoot Microsoft and 3rd party software packages.
  • Install and maintain Ethernet cabling and switches.
  • Maintain campus security cameras, NVR's, access readers and badges, and security access software.
  • Maintain PBX phone systems.
  • Maintain and rollout cellular devices, replace and repair, and assist with purchase and invoicing of new devices and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and mitigate Cybersecurity Events and assist with end-user training
  • Provide staff and users with assistance troubleshooting and solving computer system related problems.
  • Advances job knowledge to next level by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
  • Train staff and users to work with computer systems and programs.
  • This position is Salary exempt.

QUALIFICATION and EDUCATION
  • Associate or Technical Degree in Computer Science / Network Engineering or related field required.
  • 2-3 years experience in Information Systems related field preferred
  • Experience utilizing current Microsoft Operating System and Office Systems required.
  • Experience in running and terminating CAT5 & 6 Ethernet cables to workstations and switches strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Cybersecurity a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Detailed oriented and able to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work at heights using ladders and Mobile Elevated Work Platform as accompanied by authorized personnel.
