Bulk Foods Associate - Distribution Center (Palmetto Location)
Start Time: 5:00 AM | Cold Environment: 60F

Detwiler's is hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Bulk Foods Associate to join our team at our brand-new Distribution Center in Palmetto. The Bulk Foods Associate is responsible for preparing, packaging, and pricing bulk foods such as mixed nuts, seeds, snack mixes, candies, and other gourmet items. The Bulk Associate examines expiration dates and rotates products according to department guidelines. They are expected to adhere to and model Detwiler's high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Assist in receiving and unloading merchandise. Check and verify incoming shipments to ensure that items listed on vendor invoices are all delivered. Check products for quality, count, and condition.
Maintain proper rotation of inventory (FIFO) to ensure freshness and reduce waste

Must be able to take initiative when problems arise and have the flexibility to adapt to a variety of situations.

Must have the ability to multitask and stay organized.

Work Environment
Located in our refrigerated Distribution Center (temperature 60F)
Shift begins at 5:00 AM
Physically demanding role-Standing, walking, climbing ladders, reaching, bending, twisting, ability to carry/lift 50lbs, and push/pull 200lbs
Repetitive Action - Processing and packaging merchandise, typing PLU numbers
