Job Overview

The Associate Producer will be tasked with a variety of production responsibilities to support our studio coverage. Responsibilities include coordinating graphics on studio shows, as well as sport specific research, especially CBS Sports Golazo Network, UEFA Champions & Europa League, Serie A, and Concacaf.

This is a position based in Stamford, CT. Non-traditional hours, nights, weekends, and holidays are to be expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Use deep knowledge and strong techniques to generate and support ideas based on betting, live events, breaking news, and other developments in the soccer world.
  • Build relationships with producers, on-air talent, and graphics to ensure the highest quality of video tape assets.
  • Understand how linear and social production align to create compelling studio content
  • Anticipate, identify, and respond to relevant trends, developing storylines and noteworthy performances for soccer coverage
  • Communicate in a timely and effective manner with producers to provide thorough, creative, and precise video content
  • Proactively identify and suggest segment or video ideas for studio coverage
  • Develop original, creative ideas for video elements that present analysis, storylines, and trending issues in soccer.
  • Ability to clip and edit/format video materials through Adobe Premiere

Basic Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of soccer is required.
  • Minimum 3+ years in the production field
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of how a studio show control room works and operates
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.
  • Must be able to be in the studio on show days in Stamford, CT.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills, as well as a keen attention to detail, are required.
  • Must be a self-starter with demonstrated initiative.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Control room experience a plus
  • Knowledge of the entire soccer landscape and ability to think outside the box visually
  • High knowledge of soccer, both internationally and domestically
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and handle a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work individually and within a teamwork environment
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $56,000.00 - 84,000.00. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
