The Marcus US Marketing team is responsible for driving growth and end-to-end customer lifecycle management for millions of Marcus customers across our high yield savings and CD products. We are also very collaborative, integrated with the business, providing strategic partnership with pricing, product, engineering, and delivery / operations. 

YOUR IMPACT

Marcus is growing fast - and looking for bold thinkers and doers to help us fuel the next wave of growth. We are seeking an Associate, Content Strategy to join our team. This individual will be responsible for strategic development of and execution of the content roadmap across organic social, SEO, and web channels. You will work closely with internal writers and external agencies to develop content that simplifies complex financial concepts, improves search visibility, and fosters community engagement.

The ideal candidate is a proactive executor with a strong understanding of content strategy, performance metrics, and SEO with an eye for detail, and the ability to translate brand voice into actionable content across multiple platforms.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Content Execution & Management: Partner with the content writers to produce high-quality, relevant content for the Marcus site, resource hub, newsletter and organic social channels.
  • SEO Strategy: Collaborate with team and agency to identify keyword opportunities, optimize on-page content, and ensure all editorial output aligns with search best practices to drive organic growth.
  • Organic Social Media: Manage the organic social media calendar, working with creative teams to develop engaging assets (video, infographics, copy) that resonate with a retail banking audience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a bridge between Marketing, Product, and Legal/Compliance to ensure all content is accurate, brand-compliant, and technically sound.
  • Performance Tracking: Partner with the Analytics team to monitor content performance (e.g., traffic, engagement, conversion) and use these insights to iterate on future content tactics.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure the Marcus tone of voice-characterized by simplicity and transparency-is consistently applied across all organic touchpoints.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in content marketing and/or digital strategy.
  • Digital Proficiency: Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and social media algorithms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Communication: Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex financial topics for a general audience.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, maintain editorial calendars, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and managing agency relationships.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in Financial Services or Fintech is preferred but not required; a passion for consumer advocacy and financial literacy is a plus.
