Position Summary
Plans the distribution of cargo loads and reduces shipping costs by maximizing the capacity of freight vehicles.
Shift: Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30PM
Responsibilities
  • Daily Load Planning for Domestic JB Hunt Runs
  • Preparing daily Warehouse Schedule
  • Domestic/Canadian UPS Shipments
  • Monitor DC mailbox for transportation deliverables
  • Scheduling extra freight available to our customers
  • Scheduling other DC's OOT shipments
  • Assists shipping clerks with daily tasks/coverage
  • Contact with customers when shipments arrive late or need to be rescheduled
  • Sending customer notifications either by manifests/phone calls/ confirming correct appt through automatic emails
  • Process outbound stock order transfer (STO) shipments
  • Manage throughput reporting for DC
  • Monitor inbound container notifications from carriers
  • Run minimum weight block and road block report daily
  • Monitor daily transportation reports from corporate partners
  • Oversees yard management logs
  • Process LTL, UPS, XPAS, Branding orders daily
  • Process per diem report daily
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Typically requires a high school degree; or 1-2 year vocational training / associates degree.
