Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Technician โ€“ High Voltage High Power to join a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment in Milpitas, CA. This role is ideal for candidates with strong hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience and a background in high voltage/high power manufacturing environments.

The Test Technician will support production by conducting testing, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and process improvement activities to ensure quality and reliability standards are consistently met.

Test Technician โ€“ High Voltage High Power

Location:ย Milpitas, CA
Schedule:ย Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week
Shift:

  • Day Shift- 6am $32hour and
  • Swings 3pm start $32hr (10% differential)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of electronic products, systems, and components
  • Support high voltage/high power (HVHP) production and manufacturing operations
  • Develop, maintain, and improve test and burn-in processes
  • Review process specifications and update procedures as needed to improve testing accuracy and efficiency
  • Ensure all testing and burn-in activities comply with safety requirements and specifications
  • Analyze quality yields and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce defects
  • Assist with fabrication and development of testing equipment, fixtures, and test programs
  • Perform diagnostics and support preventive maintenance activities on testing equipment
  • Coordinate and maintain preventive maintenance schedules
  • Document technical issues, production concerns, and troubleshooting results clearly and accurately
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, technicians, and customers regarding technical issues and resolutions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within production and test operations
  • Mentor and assist team members in troubleshooting and testing processes

Qualifications

  • Associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience in high voltage/high power electrical manufacturing environments required
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting, testing, and debugging skills
  • Experience supporting production operations in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and procedures
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to mentor and support other team members
