What you will do:
  • Technical Reading: Ability to read, interpret, and follow basic mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional focus and a tracking mindset; aerospace components require tight tolerances where a minor oversight can impact safety.
  • Testing & Calibration: Assist in performing functional tests, system checks, and data collection on sub-assemblies using specialized diagnostic equipment, multi-meters, and mechanical measurement tools.
  • Maintenance & Preventive Care: Perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on electro-mechanical systems.
  • Quality & Documentation: Maintain highly accurate logs, quality control checklists, and safety documentation.

Qualifications you must have:
  • An associate degree, technical certificate or related work experience in Aerospace Technology, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering Technology is highly preferred and 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance, or have the ability to obtain a clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels in a multi-matrixed environment
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on electro-mechanical systems
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematic diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical descriptions of the systems
  • Ability to use general and specialized test equipment to check-out and troubleshoot systems is a plus - examples - fluke meter, spectrum analyzer, and/or oscilloscope

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
