Associate Role Description:
The Associate is a member of the Advisor team and is responsible for working with the Advisor and other team members to provide excellent service to our client families. Among other duties, the Associate will be responsible for preparing client meeting materials, including investment analysis, portfolio performance reports, and meeting presentations. A key responsibility of the Associate is to aid the Advisor in understanding clients' objectives, feel comfortable reviewing investment performance, and manage the implementation of solutions presented to the client.
To be effective in their role, an Associate should have a highly developed understanding of:
  • Wealth Management for ultra-high net worth families
  • Private banking, brokerage, and asset managers
  • Portfolio construction, investment vehicles and the subscription process for private investments
  • Wealth planning, including understanding of different structures such as Trust, and familiarity with tax planning

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Utilizing WE's tools, prepare portfolio performance reports and analysis and have the ability to understand and explain these reports.
  • Prepare presentations for client meetings, attend client meetings, take notes, and manage the implementation of recommendations arising from client meetings.
  • Assist the Advisor Team in managing the day-to-day client requests and continuously provide follow-up support to confirm these requests are being implemented in a timely manner.

Required Technical Knowledge & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree (business, finance, economics or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Series 65 registration or obtaining the series 65 registration within 3 months of hire
  • Strong computer skills - Microsoft Suite, advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with Addepar and FactSet is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of investment strategies across public markets
  • Strong understanding of Assets Classes and Portfolio Construction
  • Broad understanding of investment strategies across alternative investments and private markets
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work effectively
  • Ability to identify and summarize issues & recommendations
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Display initiative, the ability to work independently, and have ownership of one's work
  • Possess intellectual curiosity
