Job description

What they're looking for
That 50/50 blend completely shifts the strategy. Finding someone who can handle switch port optimization and rack monitoring, while simultaneously writing disaster recovery playbooks and coordinating a global SAP/HANA rollout, requires a very specific title.
1. Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) & Facilities Operations
The candidate must have hands-on experience managing physical data center space, power, and cooling. They need to be comfortable walking the floor of a large facility (over 100 racks) and using specialized monitoring software.
What to look for on resumes: Schneider Electric StruxureWare (DCO/DCE), rack management, power/cooling monitoring, hardware racking/stacking (Dell, HPE, Cisco, APC).
2. Technical Project Management & DR Documentation (The "PM" Half)
This isn't just a "doing" role; they need the organizational skills to manage timelines, coordinate vendors, and write critical procedures.
What to look for on resumes: Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and testing, creating MOPs (Methods-of-Procedure), managing multi-site infrastructure rollouts, and coordinating with corporate facilities/external co-location vendors.
3. Enterprise Networking & Core IT Infrastructure
While they don't need to be a dedicated Network Architect, they must understand networking and systems well enough to support core refreshes and coordinate with the network team.
What to look for on resumes: Cisco ACI, Juniper, switch port optimization, closet clean-ups, and supporting major platform migrations (like SAP/HANA).
4. IT Service Management (ITSM) & Change Control
Because this is a highly regulated corporate environment, every physical or digital change must be meticulously planned and logged.
What to look for on resumes: ServiceNow proficiency, strict Change Control processes, and experience in highly regulated environments (e.g., FDA/medical, financial, or heavily audited environments).
5. High-Level Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination
They will be the primary IT contact for the Woodbury site. They must be able to translate complex technical requirements to a wide range of people, from local electricians and facilities managers to corporate IT executives.
