Position Overview

Assists the Project Manager and Project Superintendent in providing the overall administrative and technical direction of a project.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manages and processes project information, requests for information, and design team responses.
  • Processes shop drawings, product data.
  • Leads the material procurement process.
  • Assists with subcontract and purchase order development.
  • Participates in quality control.
  • Expedites distribution of documents to all involved parties.
  • Maintains official project logs and documentation files.
  • Manages project close out.
  • Team member of the Safety Leadership Engagement Program.

Education and Training

  • Four-year degree in construction, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of two semesters interning in the commercial construction industry with progressively demanding duties.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic understanding of construction practices, standards, and their impact on project activities.
  • Basic leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
