Job description

The Opportunity:

The B2B Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading customer integration projects and supporting the development and implementation of scalable B2B integration solutions between Avantor and its customers.

This role manages technical integration projects throughout the project lifecycle, partners with internal and external stakeholders, evaluates existing business processes and technologies, and identifies opportunities to improve the customer Procure-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash experience.

The B2B Technical Project Manager will also contribute to the development of Avantor's long-term integration strategy, including future connectivity with customer and supplier eProcurement platforms and external portals.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in technical project management, B2B integrations, eCommerce, eProcurement, or a related area.
  • Experience managing technical integration projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with common customer eProcurement platforms such as Ariba Network, JAGGAER, Hubwoo, Coupa, Oracle Supplier Network, Unimarket, Perfect Commerce, ExpenseWatch, ESM or similar platforms.

THOSE NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE JOB COMPETENTLY

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

  • Solid understanding of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) business processes.
  • Strong understanding of B2B integration formats, technologies, and protocols including EDI, cXML, XML, and APIs web services.
  • Experience with eProcurement integration processes and technologies, including cXML / OCI PunchOut and AS2.
  • Working knowledge of integration best practices and experience supporting SAP or similar ERP environments.
  • Ability to analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable integration solutions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate meetings and conference calls with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-Motivated and results-oriented, with strong attention to detail while maintaining perspective on broader business objectives.

HOW YOU WILL THRIVE AND CREATE AN IMPACT:

  • Serve as a primary technical liaison between Avantor, customers, and internal teams for B2B integration initiatives.
  • Lead customer integration projects from requirements gathering and planning through implementation, testing, deployment, and project closeout.
  • Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, technical capabilities, and integration needs.
  • Develop, document, and continuously improve standardized B2B integration procedures and implementation practices.
  • Analyze current business processes, systems and integration technologies and recommend opportunities for process or system improvements.
  • Lead internal and external project teams by establishing project plans, assigning responsibilities, monitoring deliverables, and managing timelines.
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, and potential issues and coordinate appropriate resolution or escalation.
  • Ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed-upon timelines.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, project teams, technology partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support the development of Avantor's future-state B2B integration strategy, including integrations with external eProcurement and supplier platforms.
  • Maintain appropriate project documentation and provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$78,000.00 - $125,350.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
