JOB DESCRIPTION
Insulet`s Clinical roadmap includes a continuous cadence of algorithm updates that feed Insulet's future product releases. This contract role owns the operational and process-improvement work behind clinical builds and studies - coordinating cloud surveillance, build deployment, and the cross-functional readiness each algorithm/ product update depends on. Working closely with program leadership, this individual maps and documents make new, repeatable processes so studies can be prepared faster and the same playbook reused across every update.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the cross-functional coordination needed to deliver clinical builds for algorithm updates, tracking dependencies and readiness across teams.
  • Map and document new clinical-build processes, beginning with the phone-reuse set-up process.
  • Establish repeatable device-capability processes for the iOS and Android phones used in clinical studies.
  • Define and document how studies use Pod OTA and FOTA firmware-update capabilities.
  • Create and maintain the procedures, checklists, and supporting documentation that clinical builds rely on.
  • Build a reusable content library so processes are defined once and reused across every algorithm update.
  • Coordinate cloud surveillance and monitoring for active clinical studies and drive timely resolution of issues as they arise.
  • Manage the deployment and rollout of clinical software builds across study environments and sites.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in science/ engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related technical field - or equivalent professional experience.
  • Program or project coordination experience, ideally in medical devices, digital health, or another regulated (FDA / ISO 13485) environment.
  • Familiarity with mobile software builds and device management across iOS and Android.
  • Working knowledge of OTA / FOTA firmware updates and connected-device deployment.
  • Strong process-mapping and documentation skills - SOPs, checklists, and workflows.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, clinical, quality, and cloud/IT.
  • Comfort with cloud monitoring and surveillance concepts and dashboards.
  • Clear written communication, strong organization, and the ability to work independently with light direction.
  • Exposure to clinical studies, trials or other regulated product operations is a plus.
