Job description

Become a part of our caring community
We are looking for an experienced Technical Product Leader in the Primary Care Tech Organization to drive the strategy, development, and delivery of technology solutions that support business objectives. You will serve as the vital link between business, solution architecture and development teams. The lead will ensure the team delivers products that are aligned with organizational goals, well-engineered, and delivered efficiently.
You will combine technical expertise with technical product leadership skills, allowing them to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions while managing technical product roadmaps, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration. You also will have had a background in development, architecture or other highly technical IT field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the technical product vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned IT products and platforms.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, users, architects, developers, and infrastructure teams to gather and prioritize requirements.
  • Lead technical product lifecycle activities from brainstorming and planning through implementation and ongoing optimization.
  • Translate our needs into detailed technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure solutions meet security, scalability, performance, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in lightweight architecture, design, and code review as needed.
  • Manage technical product backlogs and prioritize initiatives based on business value, risk, and technical dependencies.
  • Guide implementation and rollout of new capabilities, applications, and platforms.
  • Be an escalation point for technical product-related issues and incidents, coordinating with business and development.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release coordination where applicable.
  • Be a primary point of contact for stakeholders and provide regular updates on technical product progress and outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and technology modernization.
  • Support vendor evaluations, technology assessments, and implementation projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field OR equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, IT Leadership, Lead Development, Solution/Application architecture or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications, systems integration, APIs, cloud platforms, databases, ELT and software development lifecycles.
  • Experience working with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Proven experience managing product roadmaps and delivering technology solutions.
  • Experience managing project budgets and financial forecasting.
  • Integration experience with at least one of the following technologies: Snowflake or Databricks.
  • Salesforce experience, including working with Accounts, Contacts, Reports, Dashboards, Security, and Flows.
Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


$126,300 - $173,700 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
