Technical Sales Engineer (Indexable)

Are you a results-driven sales professional with a passion for technical innovation and customer success? Do you have the expertise to grow sales, deliver cutting-edge solutions, and build lasting partnerships? Kyocera SGS Precision Tools (KSPT) is looking for an Experienced Technical Sales Engineer to take ownership of our Chicago territory and help us continue setting the standard in Indexable cutting tool manufacturing.

Compensation:

This position offers a base salary range of $85,000 to $105,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications This role is also eligible for additional incentive compensation based on meeting territory performance targets.

What You'll Do:

In this role as a Technical Sales Engineer, you'll be the face of KSPT, working directly with distributors and end users. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Drive growth: Increase sales annually by delivering tailored solutions to meet customer needs. Develop future customers to align with product goals.
  • Build relationships: Collaborate with distributors and customers to develop long-term partnerships.
  • Planning & Marketing: Participate in sales forecasting and planning by providing relevant data and feedback. Share insights to help guide marketing and strategy.
  • Technical Knowledge: Stay updated on emerging technologies and manufacturing practices to maintain expertise in the field.
  • Be an expert: Train distributors on our product applications and technical support to solve real world challenges.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel domestically within the specified territory as needed to meet business goals.
  • Make an impact: Represent KSPT with professionalism and a focus on continuous improvement to meet and identify customer needs.

What You Bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably in indexable cutting tools or manufacturing.
  • A strong technical understanding of tooling applications and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Reside within the territory and have the ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the year.
